A Stunning Wedding at Frazier History Museum by Michaelis Events

At Michaelis Events, we take pride in crafting unforgettable wedding experiences, and this breathtaking celebration at the Frazier History Museum in Louisville, KY, was no exception. From the scenic rooftop ceremony to the elegant museum gallery reception, every detail was carefully curated to reflect the couple’s unique style and vision.

A Rooftop Ceremony with a View

The celebration began with a romantic rooftop ceremony at the Frazier History Museum, where the skyline of Louisville provided a stunning backdrop. The bride and groom exchanged vows beneath a beautifully adorned wedding arch, featuring lush florals in hues of terracotta, peach, and light blue. The floral arrangements complemented the warm tones of the setting sun, creating a picture-perfect moment for the couple and their guests.

An Intimate Cocktail Hour in the Speakeasy

Following the ceremony, guests were guided to the museum’s Speakeasy for an intimate and stylish cocktail hour. The ambiance was enhanced by candlelit accents and cozy seating, inviting guests to mingle and enjoy a selection of delectable hors d’oeuvres. The menu featured mini country ham and white cheddar biscuits, mini fried chicken and waffle bites, and mini soft pretzel bites served with rich beer cheese—true Kentucky-inspired flavors that set the tone for an incredible evening.

A Reception in the Historic Museum Gallery

For the grand reception, guests transitioned to the museum’s first-floor gallery, transformed into an elegant dining space. The tables were set with crisp white linens, khaki napkins, and classic white china plateware, creating a refined yet inviting atmosphere. The floral décor, including garland accents on the bridal party table and striking centerpieces, tied together the couple’s chosen color palette of terracotta, peach, and light blue.

The dinner buffet showcased a spread of Kentucky favorites, offering a delicious and memorable dining experience. Guests enjoyed:

  • Kentucky Hot Browns

  • Bourbon Coffee Rubbed Short Ribs

  • Garlic Smashed Potatoes

  • Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Sorghum

  • Honey Glazed Carrots

  • Seasonal Green Salad

  • Dinner Rolls

For dessert, a small cutting cake was accompanied by an assortment of gourmet cupcakes, allowing guests to indulge in a variety of sweet flavors.
